DIGITAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN

Women In Business was a virtual professional event which featured 3 inspiring key speakers. The aim of the event was to attract a crowd of university students with an interest in entrepreneurship and marketing to inspire the next generation of business people. This event took place during the COVID-19 crisis and therefore had a strong reliance on digital campaign.

My role as communications director was to brief the team of designers, social media coordinators and publications officers on a cohesive visual identity and message for the event. I managed the overall creation of the event including campaigning, digital processes, contacting speakers and general preparation.

The slogan “the stories behind your favourite brands” reflects the inspirational aspects of the event. In order to capture audience attention, a series of social media posts were created to reflect each speaker and their individual businesses including Frank Body, Fluff Casual Cosmetics, Hunter Markets and The Peers Project. There was also a count down of the days to the event on social media stories and a digital flyer sent out to show the set times for the speakers. EDMs were also sent to those who had previously attended professional events and gave more in-depth insight into the background of each key speaker.

To make the live virtual event feel as engaging as possible, social media followers were able to send in their questions for the speakers ahead of time and then interact with other viewers in the comment section. The visual identity of the event was carried across in the presentation which played alongside the speeches throughout the presentation.
